Good Morning!
Malia and I have just begun our garden this past week. Yesterday we sowed our first seeds. We planted: Carrots, Cucumbers, Kombocha (Japanese Pumpkin), Manoa Lettuce, Spinach, Rosemary, Lavender (traditional, and English), Mint, lemon grass and Thyme. Currently we have two Manoa lettuce plants that seem to love the shade rather than direct sunlight. The mint plant was in the hands of the ripper but thankfully we caught it watered it well. Today it seems to have kicked back to its full mint force.
Mind we have never actually gardened before so if you are a gardener and reading this please leave us some advice. =)
Our seeds our from Koolau farmers, they probably think we are crazy. lol.
We decided to stay away from hardware of Hawaii because on our first excursion to pick up soil, seeds, and started plants, a creepy worker followed us around not asking for help but just lurking. When we were trying hard to avoid him, I accidentally took us down the same Aile as him. His intensely creeping glare and little smile forced me to move into the shelves not only cutting my arm, but also causing a mini scene. Which Malia made even worse by cracking up laughing. (thanks Malia I thought you were suppose to have my back lol.)
